High-Fiber Diet

Cardiologist Steven Schnur, M.D., recently claims that fiber is the the single best predictor of weight-loss success. According to Schnur, fiber-rich foods can trigger low-cal satisfaction, make us feel full longer, fight get-fat hormones, and block calories contained in some foods. Thus, every woman should take minimum 25 grams of fiber every day. The recommended high-fiber foods include lite popcorn, fiber cereal, beans, chili, potato, kiwi, figs, oatmeal, apple, orange, barley, peas, green beans, baby carrots as well as the majority of vegetables.

Schnur emphasizes that high-fiber foods especially help women lose pregnant weight quickly. Hmm... I will see if it works!

This is exactly along the line of Evolutionary Diet:

The Evolutionary Fitness Diet is simple and nutritious. You eat nutritionly dense foods, that are low in calories and high in fiber and antioxidants. It will end your carbohydrate cravings and raise your energy level which is depleted by the blood sugar/insulin rebound and high serotonin levels promoted by high calorie foods. The diet is high in natural plant fiber, phenols, flavonoids, and phytochemicals, nature's own cancer-fighting and antioxidant compounds that coevolved with human beings and were always an important part of the hominid diet before the agricultural and industrial revolutions.
